Purple Heart Shadowbox Assemblage

When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple!

Part of your fate is determined by the stars, but a large part of the big plan is determined by you. Would you like to grow old disgracefully too?

This is one of my more unusual pieces, and I am super pleased with how it turned out. A purple assemblage heart created with over a year’s worth of purple “things” and other items with contrasting colors I have saved from my art shed over the past year. Jenny Joseph’s famous poem “Warning” is mounted to the back that inspired this piece.
