Adapt
This isn’t your first rodeo.
Adapting is not surrendering.
Old dogs can learn new tricks.
The idea for this piece came from two of my favorite sayings: “Can’t never could do nothing” from my grandmother and my personal favorite that I speak to myself ALL the time, “This ain’t my first rodeo.”
If you follow me, you know that I love dogs so I sketched an outline (although you could also see it as a wily coyote) and off I went creating a paper mache one. I used purple on this piece because for myself, this color is symbolic of inner knowledge.
Adapt will be available on April 12, 2026 at Auctions with Stephanie Gagos on Facebook if you would like an alert.
