I love to piddle with my paint but also enjoy mixing it up with writing every morning.  A few weeks back at one of my husband's music gigs, I had the chance to sit down with our friend Clyde who plays guitar, is a songwriter, and has his own YouTube Channel.  We discussed what came first - the music notes or the lyrics?

I write descriptions for all of my pieces and enjoy kicking it old school by jotting down ideas, phrases, and words over multiple weeks before I write a final draft.  As an artist and writer, sometimes the paint and visual arrives first and other times the words.

What say ye my friends that delve in multiple arenas?
